New orange DAF 460 FT tractor units have replaced the older models in the SKAT fleet. The strategy of maintaining the average age of tractor units at 1.5 years, adopted by SKAT Transport for many years, determines the regular investment in new fleets.

The situation in the international transport market is changing dynamically, and the conditions for competition become harder every year. Fleet reliability, which until recently was an additional advantage, now constitutes a standard in providing transport services. Thus we invest further in newer models of tractor units – which are even more economical and ergonomic.

“SKAT Transport regularly analyses the technical and economical parameters of fleet functioning, and this is why we have chosen the DAF 460 FT again. The recent purchase is not only fulfilling our obligations towards customers, but it also contributes to actions taken in order to ensure comfort for our drivers, because the DAF 460 FT is fitted with the largest cab on the market – the Super Space Cab”, says Waldemar Łazarczyk, the President of the Management Board of SKAT Transport.
